Packers OLB Erik Walden was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony domestic violence/substantial battery and will remain in Brown County Jail in Green Bay until at least Monday, according to The Associated Press.
Walden allegedly assaulted his live-in girlfriend, and the Brown County Court is closed for the weekend.
The Packers issued the following statement on Friday: "The Packers organization is aware of the situation involving Erik Walden. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment."
The incident took place around 2:30 a.m. Friday, and the woman, who called authorities almost four hours later, was treated at a local hospital. Walden was arrested around 8 a.m.
Walden, who joined Green Bay last season, has started all 11 games this season. He has 41 tackles and three sacks.
