The Ravens promoted rookie LB Josh Bynes from the practice squad to the active roster, and waived OL Bryan Mattison, the team announced Wednesday.

Bynes signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in July and was released during the final roster cut at the beginning of September. The Auburn product was signed to the practice squad on Nov. 9.

Mattison has appeared in eight games this season with no starts after playing in two games his rookie season in 2010.
