Patriots fantasy report: Week 12

Here are some of the Patriots' fantasy football options this week:

Many expected QB Tom Brady to post elite numbers after two straight weeks of 300-plus yards and multi-touchdown games. However, the Chiefs held tough at times, but the Patriots eventually pulled away, going to the run to eat the clock. Brady threw 234 yards for two TDs and should bounce back against a banged-up Eagles defense.

Don't look at RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis' 20-81-0 performance against the Chiefs as a sign he's back. They were playing the Chiefs and began pounding the ball in the second half and shared the backfield with Shane Vereen, Danny Woodhead.

Look for RB Kevin Faulk to suit up this week after being inactive last Monday night. He has practiced this week, but with a backfield by committee his fantasy value is marginalized by the other players. He has minimal value.

Vereen saw his first action of the year, going 8-39-1, but it was in garbage time and he's still buried on the depth chart. However, he's the future and the second-round draft pick will eventually see a bigger role.

TE Rob Gronkowski has a three-game average of 6.7 catches for 103.3 yards and 1.7 TD on 11 targets, posting numbers elite TEs would be jealous of. A weekly must-start, he has overtaken Saints TE Jimmy Graham as the best TE in the game and would be the second-best WR behind Calvin Johnson.
