Bengals WR Andrew Hawkins has emerged as a solid contributor in his first NFL season, with his playmaking ability and versatility factors in his favor, the way we hear it. Hawkins, perhaps best known for finishing second on "4th And Long," the 2009 Spike TV reality show where NFL hopefuls vied for a spot on the Cowboys' training-camp roster, was claimed off waivers from St. Louis on Aug. 1 and promoted from Cincinnati's practice squad on Sept. 20, has seen an increase in opportunities on offense in recent weeks. He has been targeted 14 times the past two games, catching nine passes for 103 yards, with a diving 25-yard reception vs. Pittsburgh a highlight. Hawkins, whose brother, Artrell, played for the Bengals from 1998-2003, also has made an impact on special teams, notching three tackles. The 5-7, 175-pound Hawkins' speed and ball skills are assets, according to one personnel man, who called him a "talented guy with a great heart."
