To say NT Dan Williams has been a disappointment would be a major understatement. "No question," one daily team observer said of Williams, whose season ended when he broke his left arm in the Week 11 loss to the 49ers. "It took him a while to contribute as a rookie, and he was only just recently starting to play well after starting slowly again this season." Team sources tell us Williams has been told in no uncertain terms by head coach Ken Whisenhunt that he needs to report in much better shape next season. Williams' weight and conditioning were the least of the Cardinals' concerns when they made him their first pick in the 2010 draft. "He's a good kid, though, very earnest," the observer said. "I don't think they're ready to give up on him yet. I think the consensus is that, if he can spend a full offseason working with (strength-and-conditioning coach) John Lott, it will really help him."
