Though the Broncos might be winning games with Tim Tebow as their starting quarterback, the organization is still not sold on entering 2012 with Tebow under center. Executive VP of football operations John Elway expressed as much on his local radio show, when he said the team was no closer to finding its long-term answer at the position than it was when Tebow was named starter. The fact that Elway and GM Brian Xanders have been scouting top college QBs in recent weeks shows they are clearly far from set moving forward with Tebow.
A source told PFW there's no question the team will bring in a new quarterback next season, especially with backup Brady Quinn set to be a free agent. The question that Elway must answer isÚ Will the new QB be another player who can run the option and back up Tebow or a traditional drop-back passer to replace Tebow in the starting lineup?
