Hall's Class of 2012 semifinalists announced

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has released the list of the 26 semifinalists for their Class of 2012. Included are several first-year nominees, including head coach Bill Parcells and OG Will Shields.
Hall of Fame voters will vote for 15 of the semifinalists to be finalists for the Hall. That list will be announced in early January. Then those 15, along with two Senior Committee nominees — Steelers CB Jack Butler and Lions and Redskins OG Dick Stanfel — will be voted on Feb. 4, the day before the Super Bowl, for induction. The Class of 2012 will have between four and seven members.
The semifinalists are, in alphabetical order:
