Here are the players of the week from the Vikings 27-21 loss to the Raiders Sunday.
Offense — WR Percy Harvin
His explosive first step was on full display Sunday, in both the passing game and the running game. He caught six passes for 73 yards, including a 26-yard TD on a screen pass. He added five carries for 21 yards with a long of 18. He was the bright spot for an offense that had difficulty moving the ball when the Raiders weren't giving away yardage with penalties.
Defense — OLB Chad Greenway
Even though Greenway missed a few tackles, he was all over the field, recording 15 tackles, a tackle for loss, one sack and one QB hit. He made a couple of strong plays in the hole against Raiders RB Michael Bush and was solid in pass coverage.
Special teams — PR Marcus Sherels
The special teams had another rough outing, botching a field goal, fumbling a kickoff return and allowing a 34-yard punt return. Therefore, Sherels wins by default by not doing anything bad. He had five returns for 38 yards, including a 15-yarder in the third quarter.
