The NFL handed out fines on Friday for a fight between players from the Bears and Lions from last Sunday's game.
Bears CB D.J. Moore was fined $15,000 for hitting Lions QB Matthew Stafford after a Bears interception. According to the Chicago Tribune's Vaughn McClure, Moore will not appeal the fine. Moore was ejected from the game.
Stafford, who threw Moore to the ground by his helmet while trying to block him, was fined $7,500, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Stafford's grabbing of Moore's helmet precipitated the retaliation by Moore, which led to his fine.
In other fines unrelated to the late-game fight, Lions DT Nick Fairley was hit with a $15,000 levy for his late hit on Bears QB Jay Cutler in the third quarter; Lions OG Rob Sims was fined $7,500 for a late hit; and Lions DE Kyle Vanden Bosch received a $7,500 fine for unnecessary roughness when he hit Bears RB Matt Forté while Forté was on the ground.
Bears WR Earl Bennett was fined $10,000 for wearing predominantly orange shoes. The previous week he was fined $5,000 for the same offense.
