Here are the Players of the Week from the Vikings' 45-7 loss to the Packers on Monday night.
Offense, RB Adrian Peterson: Even though the offense had a rough day overall and the running game couldn't be established because the Vikings were down 17-0 early in the second quarter, Peterson did score the only touchdown of the night for Minnesota and had over 50 yards rushing.
Defense, DE Jared Allen: Allen played the run as well as he has all season, doing an excellent job of maintaining outside leverage, disengaging from blocks and making a play on the ball carrier, evidenced by his three tackles for loss. Even though he got his sack on the legwork of a good Kevin Williams pass rush, he did a good job of keeping Rodgers in the pocket for the most part and making plays on him when he tried to escape.
Special teams, TE/FB Ryan D'Imperio: It was a rough day for the special-teams units, as they missed a field goal, allowed a punt-return touchdown and a 55-yard kickoff return. However, D'Imperio made the lone positive play of the evening, recovering a Randall Cobb muffed punt that set up the Vikings' lone touchdown.
