Redskins WR Leonard Hankerson will go on injured reserve with a torn labrum, head coach Mike Shanahan announced on Monday. In his place, the team has re-sgined veteran WR Donte' Stallworth.
Hankerson, a rookie out of Miami, suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. He led the team in the game with eight catches for 106 yards. In four games and two starts, Hankerson has 13 catches for 163 yards.
Stallworth, released on November 8, had five receptions for 46 yards in four games with the team this season.
The team also placed DE Kedric Goldston on I.R. and signed DE Darrion Scott.
The way we see it
Hankerson is the latest Redskins skill player to be bit by the injury bug. He joins RB Tim Hightower on I.R. and the team has been without WR Santana Moss. Hankerson had his best game on Sunday and emerged as a top target for Rex Grossman.
