Needing depth on their offensive line, the Chargers have signed OT Tony Moll to their active roster. To create a roster spot for him, OLB Darryl Gamble was released.
Moll, a five-year NFL veteran, has not played in the league this season. He last suited up in 2010 with the Ravens. In his 60-game career, he has also played with the Packers.
Moll is needed after Chargers starting OLT Marcus McNeill was carted off in Week 10 with a neck injury. OLG Kris Dielman and OT Louis Vasquez also have missed time with a concussion and an ankle injury, respectively.
Gamble, an undrafted rookie, played mostly on special teams in three games with the Chargers.
