Here's a key matchup to watch in Monday night's Vikings-Packers game at Lambeau Field.

Vikings QB Christian Ponder vs. Packers CB Charles Woodson

In Ponder's first NFL start, he made the mistake of challenging Charles Woodson a little too often, as the Packers' cornerback was able to intercept the rookie QB twice. Even after those interceptions though, Ponder went right back after Woodson, completing a nice 24-yard touchdown pass to Michael Jenkins, who beat Woodson in coverage.

While Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has said that the Vikings won't be targeting Woodson this week, you can expect that Woodson will see some passes thrown is his direction.

Woodson, who has specialized in victimizing rookie quarterbacks this season (he also intercepted Cam Newton twice), is always looking to jump routes for the interception.

Ponder needs to take special care of the football and avoid throwing late and behind receivers, which allows Woodson to make those big plays. Other than those two picks, Ponder played well against Packers. And he played well in the Vikes' win at Carolina before the bye. Avoiding mistakes is the only chance the Vikings have of keeping it close against the undefeated defending Super Bowl champs.
