After being outbid by Baltimore for the services of All-Pro FB Vonta Leach this past offseason, the Texans knew they needed a security blanket with Leach's replacement, James Casey, playing fullback for the first time. Casey thrived in his new role in the first five games of the season, holding his own as a lead blocker and adding another dimension to Houston's already explosive passing offense. But after Casey strained a pectoral muscle in Week Five against the Raiders, Houston called on its security blanket, veteran FB Lawrence Vickers. Word is Vickers has been everything the Texans hoped he would be and more. Coming off a franchise-record 261 rushing yards against the Browns in Week Nine, head coach Gary Kubiak raved about Vickers' performance. Kubiak loves Casey's versatility and will try and find ways to get him on the field, but we hear Vickers isn't going anywhere as long as the Texans' running game continues dominating opponents.
