Ravens TE Dennis Pitta has had increased opportunities in the passing game recently, and he has done well with those chances. Pitta was thrown to more in Weeks Eight and Nine (16 targets) than he was in the previous six games (15 targets), and he responded with 11 catches in victories over Arizona and Pittsburgh. "Dennis has a knack for getting open," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters this week. In an offense where QB Joe Flacco doesn't hesitate to spread the ball around to a variety of targets, Pitta's reliability is a plus. Flacco, in a most notable display of confidence, didn't hesitate to throw to WR Torrey Smith on the game-winning score at Pittsburgh after Smith dropped a TD earlier in the drive. While the Ravens' passing game has sputtered at times, its promise was very much evident in the win at Pittsburgh.
