Raiders WR Jacoby Ford is in a walking boot and on crutches after suffering a sprained foot in Thursday night's win over the Chargers, according to an interview with 97.5 The Game in San Francisco.
Ford said that he doesn't believe his injury is as serious as that of teammate Darren McFadden, who has missed the past two games with a foot sprain, and that he hopes he can play in the Raiders' next game at Minnesota on Nov. 20.
Ford, in his second year out of Clemson, has 17 receptions for 260 yards and one touchdown this season. He was injured on the play that saw him make his lone catch in Thursday night's game. His 41-yard reception set up a Michael Bush TD run.
The way we see it
Ford's absence could have an impact on the Raiders' offense and special teams. As a receiver, he is one of QB Carson Palmer's favorite downfield targets along with rookie Denarius Moore. He also makes a big impact as a kickoff returner.
