Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, Giants LB Mathias Kiwanuka and Cardinals PR-CB Patrick Peterson were named NFC Players of Week Nine.

Rodgers continued his unreal 2011 season in the Packers' 45-38 win over the Chargers, completing 80.8 percent of his passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns as Green Bay continued its undefeated season. With his performance Sunday, he became the first player in NFL history to register a passer rating for 110-plus in eight consecutive games. This is Rodgers fifth career player of the week award and third this season.

Kiwanuka led the Giants' defense with 12 tackles and also had an interception, as Big Blue's defense confounded Tom Brady and the Patriots for a 24-20 win in Foxborough. Kiwanuka's interception ended a promising Pats drive on the first play of the second quarter, making the interception at the Giants' 19-yard line. This is Kiwanuka's second career player of the week award.

Peterson had a game-winning 99-yard punt-return touchdown in overtime, as the Cardinals defeated the Rams 19-13 Sunday. Peterson has three punt-return touchdowns in the first eight games of his rookie season. This is his first player of the week award.
