Dolphins QB Matt Moore, Jets LB David Harris and Broncos PR-WR Eddie Royal were named AFC Players of the Week for Week Nine.
Moore led the Dolphins to their first victory of the season, a 31-3 shellacking of the Chiefs in Kansas City. He had the best game of his career, completing 73.9 percent of his passes and throwing three touchdown passes on his way to a career-best 147.5 passer rating.
Harris led the stingy Jets defense in the team's 27-11 win over the Bills in Buffalo. He had five tackles, one interception and one pass defensed as the defense held the Bills scored a season-low 11 points. This is Harris' second career player of the week award and he's the third Jets defender (Antonio Cromartie in Week Two, Darrelle Revis in Week Three) to win it this season.
Royal scored the decisive touchdown in the Broncos' 38-24 upset win over the Raiders, returning a punt 85 yards with 5:53 remaining in the fourth quarter to break a 24-24 tie. This is the second time that Royal, who added a 26-yard touchdown catch, won special teams player of the week.
