The Buccaneers signed former first-round DT John McCargo on Tuesday, according to PFW correspondent and The Tampa Tribune writer Roy Cummings.
McCargo was with the Bucs in training camp before being cut.
The Buccaneers lost second-year starting DT Gerald McCoy for the season with a torn biceps and Frank Okam was inactive in Week Nine with a calf injury.
McCargo has 2½ sacks in 40 career games, all with the Bills. He played in 16 games in 2007 and had four passes defensed.
