The Bears' only rookie starter in Week Nine, FS Chris Conte, made four tackles in his third-straight start. All of them came on gains of eight yards or more and two stops were made after gains of 20 yards or more. Chicago didn't allow a play longer than 33 yards, which is a credit to Conte and the secondary given the weapons Philadelphia has at wide receiver, but Conte did whiff on at least one tackle attempt Monday night.
DT Stephen Paea was active for the third-straight game and made his presence felt in the rotation at nose tackle, recording one QB hit.
On offense, WR Dane Sanzenbacher failed to make a catch for the first time this season. He was targeted twice and had one pass go right through his hands, which clearly didn't sit well with QB Jay Cutler.
Undrafted rookies LB Dom DeCicco and S Anthony Walters each recorded one tackle on kickoff coverage.
Four rookies — QB Nathan Enderle, ORT Gabe Carimi, LB Jabara Williams and DE Mario Addison — were inactive. Carimi, who has missed the last six games with a right knee subluxation, fully participated in practice on Thursday, but didn't practice on Friday or Saturday and the Bears have no need to rush him back with Lance Louis filling in well at right tackle.
