Don't look now, but ex-Packers CB Josh Gordy looks like he could be on a fast track toward considerably more playing time after a strong outing in the Rams' upset victory over the Saints. "You have to give him a good look, don't you?" one daily team observer wondered about Gordy, who came up with a big interception vs. the Saints after being pressed into a starting role due to an injury to Justin King. "He's very good in coverage. He's no 'Night Train' Lane, but the Packers really liked him and regretted letting him go, and the Rams like him, too." The Rams' wounded secondary has also received a boost from the return of second-year pro Marquis Johnson off the physically-unable-to-perform list. "He's a healthy guy with fresh legs," the observer said of Johnson, who held his own as the nickel back against the Saints. "And he has those long arms that 'Spags' (head coach Steve Spagnuolo) likes."
