The Buccaneers activated LS Andrew Economos from the reserve/non-football injury list on Friday and waived S David Sims.

Economos was the Bucs' special-teams captain last season and played in all 16 games as the team's long-snapper. He has played in 67 games in his career. He suffered an Achilles injury just before training camp.

The team signed Sims, an undrafted free agent, on Nov. 1.
