Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw has a cracked bone in his foot that he suffered in last week's win over the Dolphins, Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger first reported.

Bradshaw left the game to get X-rays but later returned. A source told The Star-Ledger that Bradshaw is out "indefinitely" and is considering corrective surgery.

The fifth-year veteran has screws in his feet after surgeries he underwent before the 2010 season.

A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, however, that the injury is not considered serious and Bradshaw "should play Sunday."

Bradshaw has 440 rushing yards and five touchdowns in seven games this season. He also has 24 catches for 210 yards and a touchdown. Veteran RB Brandon Jacobs will likely carry the load in Sunday's game against the Patriots. In five games, Jacobs has 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The way we see it

The Giants' run game got off to a rough start, but Bradshaw had picked it up of late, including a 26-103-3 game against Buffalo in Week Six. Jacobs has not found much success running the football and the Patriots' strength on defense is against the run. D.J. Ware, who has 45 rushing yards on 14 carries, could also factor into the run game.
