Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson and Bengals KR-WR Brandon Tate have been named the AFC Players of Week Eight.
Roethlisberger led the Steelers' explosive aerial attack in their 25-17 win over the Patriots. He threw for 365 yards and two touchdowns as he carved apart the Patriots' depleted secondary all afternoon. Roethlisberger was also named Player of the Week in Week Five.
Johnson was all over the field in the Chiefs' 23-20 victory over the Chargers on "Monday Night Football." He had 13 tackles, one sack, one interception and one pass defensed, as he keyed the Chiefs' strong defensive effort that confounded the San Diego offense all night. It is the fourth time he's been named Player of the Week.
Tate returned a punt 56 yards for a touchdown in the Bengals' 34-12 win at the Seahawks. He helped to create solid field position for the Bengals throughout the game, averaging 24.3 yards per punt return. It is his first career Player of the Week award.
