Eagles RB LeSean McCoy, Lions DE Cliff Avril and Rams DE Robert Quinn were named the NFC Players of Week Eight.
McCoy rushed for a career-high 185 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' dominating 34-7 win over the Cowboys. McCoy has scored a touchdown in every game this season, the only player in the league to do so. This is his first career Player of the Week award.
Avril had two sacks, two forced fumbles and a 24-yard fumble return touchdown in the Lions' 45-10 win over Tim Tebow and the Broncos. He led the strong defensive effort that forced two defensive touchdowns and sacked Tebow seven times. This is the first time Avril has been named Player of the Week.
Quinn blocked a punt that set up a touchdown in the Rams' 31-21 upset win over the Saints. The Rams were winning 3-0 with 1:41 left in the second quarter when Quinn blocked a punt, which set up a Steven Jackson touchdown run two plays later. This is Quinn's first career Player of the Week award.
