The following players deserve kudos for their outstanding Week Eight fantasy efforts:

QB Cam Newton, Panthers (vs. Vikings) 22-of-35 for 290 yards, three TDs and 6-53-0 rushing
Newton returned to elite fantasy quarterback form with three touchdowns after three total touchdowns his previous two games. As he always does, he's good for yardage and is an every-week starter.

RB LeSean McCoy, Eagles (vs. Cowboys) 30-185-2 rushing, 2-15-0 receiving with three targets
McCoy posted another monster week and joins QB Michael Vick as the focal points of the offense. McCoy is having a career year with a two-week average of 32.5 utilizations for 169.5 offensive yards and 1.5 touchdowns, elite numbers.

RB Steven Jackson, Rams (vs. Saints) 25-159-2 rushing, 4-32-0 receiving with five targets
Jackson looked like the Jackson of old with his first 20-plus carry game and first game over 100 yards rushing this year. When healthy he's a top-end No. 2 fantasy back with No. 1 upside.

WR Calvin Johnson, Lions (at Broncos) 6-125-1 with seven targets
Megatron had a fourth straight game over 100 receving yards and has a four-game average of 8.25 targets for 5.75 receptions, 120.8 yards and 0.75 touchdowns. He's posting elite numbers weekly.

WR Steve Smith, Panthers (vs. Vikings) 7-100-1 with nine targets
Smith is not only fast, but he'll fight off the line of scrimmage, out-jump bigger defenders and has a fire about him when he plays. He has a two-game average of nine targets for seven receptions 121.5 yards and 0.5 touchdowns, elite numbers.

WR Anquan Boldin, Ravens (at Cardinals) 7-145-0 with 12 targets
Boldin may have lost a step but still has the ability to have a great game against lesser defenses, especially against his former team. He has two games of 130-plus yards in the last three. Boldin's an every-week play who may be inconsistent, but when he's hot, you reap the benefits.

Flex RB Ray Rice, Ravens (at Cardinals) 18-63-3 rushing, 7-36-0 with nine targets
Rice had a Week Seven performance of 13 touches for 63 offensive yards and zero touchdowns. But he came through with three touchdowns in Week Eight, as the Ravens woke up in the second-half against the Cardinals. His rushing and receiving skills are key to his fantasy dominance.

TE Brent Celek, Eagles (vs. Cowboys) 7-94-1 with nine targets
Celek had a favorable matchup and the team exploited it, making him the top tight end this week. QB Michael Vick is involving him now and he has a two-game average of nine targets, 5.5 receptions, 68 yards and one touchdown.

PK Nick Novak, Chargers (at Chiefs) four field goals, three from 40-49 yards
A solid fantasy game as he was the only source of points for the team. The Chargers move the ball well enough to give him weekly opportunities to post fantasy points.

Def/ST Lions (at Broncos) seven sacks and two touchdowns
Seven sacks, one interception, two fumble recoveries and two touchdowns was capped off by holding the Broncos to 10 points. A dominating performance.
