The Raiders signed WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh on Tuesday, solidifying their receiving corps and giving QB Carson Palmer a familiar target to throw to. The news was announced via the Raiders' Twitter feed.
Palmer struggled in Week Seven, his first game with the Raiders after being traded from the Bengals. Part of that was because of his unfamiliarity with his receivers, an area in which Houshmandzadeh will help him out. The receiver and quarterback spent five seasons together in Cincinnati, with great success.
Houshmandzadeh last played for the Ravens in 2010. He hauled in 30 receptions for 398 yards and three TDs.
The team did not announce a corresponding roster move. Yesterday the team signed CB Lito Sheppard.
