Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (hip) will be active for tonight's game against the Chiefs, but RB Mike Tolbert will be inactive due to hamstring and hand injuries. RB Ryan Mathews will handle the bulk of the snaps in Tolbert's absence.

As expected, Chargers TE Antonio Gates will start despite a foot injury.

Besides Tolbert, the Chargers' inactive players are DE Luis Castillo, OG Kris Dielman, LB Gerald Hayes, DT Ogemdi Nwagbuo, OLB Shaun Phillips and DB Darrell Stuckey.

For the Chiefs, RB Dexter McCluster (non-injury-related) is active after missing practice Friday.

The Chiefs' inactives are DE Brandon Bair, TE Anthony Becht, DB Jalil Brown, OT Steve Maneri, NT Jerrell  Powe, QB Ricky Stanzi and WR Jerheme Urban.
