The Saints get second-year RB Chris Ivory back on Sunday for the first time this season.
The team activated Ivory off the physically-unable-to-perform list, as Ivory needed the time to rehab a broken left foot.
To make room, the Saints waived TE Tory Humphrey.
As an undrafted rookie last season, Ivory rushed for 716 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games and four starts. He had a 5.2-yard rushing average. Ivory's activation comes at a key time, as rookie RB Mark Ingram (heel) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Rams.
