The Buccaneers signed S Tanard Jackson to a one-year contract extension on Thursday. His agent Peter Schaffer confirmed the new contract on Twitter.

Jackson has an interception in each of his first two games this season coming off a year long suspension for repeated violations of the league's substance-abuse policy.

Jackson will reportedly earn $2 million in base salary in 2012. He has six tackles as well in his two starts this season.
