With injuries leaving the Buccaneers without their top two running backs and forcing pieces to be shuffled on the interior of the offensive line, Bucs QB Josh Freeman struggled with the weight of the offense on his shoulders in Week Seven, throwing four interceptions in a loss to the Bears. It was the most picks he's had in a game since making the fifth start of his career in his rookie year. Through seven games, Freeman has thrown 10 interceptions. It's a startling statistic considering he threw only six last season, but the Bucs, while concerned, are not panicking. The coaching staff said this week that it has identified some correctable errors that Freeman has consistently been making, and it appears the team's top back, RB LeGarrette Blount, will be ready to return from a knee injury after the Week Eight bye, which could help the entire offense. While his decision making has been very shaky, Freeman's confidence seems to remain firmly intact.
