Bucs promoted RB Madu to active roster

The Buccaneers have promoted RB Mossis Madu from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Wednesday.

The move comes after the Bucs were forced to put RB Earnest Graham on injured reserve after he tore an Achilles tendon in Sunday's loss to the Bears in London. Starting RB LeGarrette Blount missed the game with a knee injury. The Bucs are on bye this week.

Madu, an undrafted rookie from Oklahoma, spent the first seven weeks on the Bucs' practice squad.

The team also signed FB Matt Clapp to the practice squad. The second-year undrafted free agent spent time last season on the Lions' practice squad.
