For the second straight week a rookie defender made a big play in a Bears win.

One week after second-round pick Stephen Paea sacked Donovan McNabb in the endzone for a safety, third-round pick Chris Conte picked off Josh Freeman at the Bears' two-yard line after Bucs WR Mike Williams had failed to reel in a first-quarter pass.

It was the biggest play made by Conte, who started at free safety for a second straight game, in his young career, and it appears he's earned himself another start.

Undrafted WR Dane Sanzenbacher, who leads the team with three touchdown catches, made two grabs for 13 yards vs. Tampa Bay. He was targeted three times.

Undrafted rookies Kyle Adams, Dom DeCicco and Anthony Walters contributed on special teams. DeCicco, a backup linebacker, made both of his two tackles in the first quarter, stopping returner Preston Parker after a gain of only two yards on a punt return. He stopped Parker again after a 10-yard return of a free kick following a safety.

Three rookies — backup DE Mario Addison, ORT Gabe Carimi and third-string QB Nathan Enderle — were inactive.
