Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Sunday's battle between the Bears and Buccaneers.
Bears OTs J'Marcus Webb and Lance Louis vs. Bucs DEs Adrian Clayborn and Michael Bennett
After resisting for weeks, offensive coordinator Mike Martz adjusted his gameplan to better fit his personnel against the Vikings. He helped Webb and Louis, who was making his first career start at right tackle, by using more six- and seven-man protections, and also had backs chip off the edge.
Will he stick to that script against the Buccaneers? Martz may be tempted to get away from it with the Bears facing a less formidable duo of pass rushers than the one they lined up across last week in Jared Allen and Brian Robison.
Martz shouldn't stray too far from what worked against Minnesota, though. Clayborn has great size and good power and Bennett has been a bright spot for the Bucs' defense. The Bucs will bring blitzes and their pass rush has the potential to be very effective if the Bears get caught in obvious passing situations like 3rd-and-long.
QB Jay Cutler is a much more effective quarterback when he has time to throw, but his pass protectors could struggle if Martz veers off the path and gets pass-happy.
