The Colts entered Week Seven with the league's 28th-ranked rushing offense — nothing new for a team that has been ineffective rushing the ball for years. Yet, we hear that the Colts' brass is actually quite pleased with rookie Delone Carter and Donald Brown, both of whom are filling in for injured starter Joseph Addai. Despite his 3.1 yards per carry, Carter has impressed with his elusiveness, a trait that was seldom seen on tape from his Syracuse days. Brown, largely considered a bust after being selected in the first round in 2009, flashed his quickness and instincts on an 18-yard scoring jaunt in Week Six. With the middle clogged up, Brown bounced outside off right tackle and exploded into the endzone — an encouraging sign for a guy whose biggest knock since joining the league has been hesitation behind the line. Although he falls back into old habits easily, we hear Brown could end up showing just enough this season to return in '12.
