Bengals RB Cedric Benson's suspension has been reduced from three games to one game and a fine, according to Jason La Canfora of NFL Network.
Benson was originally suspended for violating the league's personal-conduct policy. He spent nearly a week in jail before the season.
Benson has 458 yards and two touchdowns this season.
The Way We See It
This is great news for the Bengals. Benson has been a key cog in their surprising 4-2 start and losing him for three games would have hurt the offense significantly.
Benson is coming off of back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons and is on-pace for another. Bernard Scott should assume the primary back duties while Benson is suspended.
