A suburban Chicago man has been charged with one misdemeanor count of battery after allegedly slapping Bears WR Devin Hester in the back of the head at a casino in Des Plaines, Ill., last Friday.

Hester was in a cashier line Friday night at the Rivers Casino when Daniel Rago, 52, of Mount Prospect, Ill., slapped the Bears' wide receiver/return specialist and walked away, according to police.

Des Plaines Police Chief Jim Prandini said Hester, who scored two touchdowns vs. the Vikings two days later, didn't retaliate and cooperated with officers after reporting the incident to the casino. Rago's slap was captured on surveillance camera and he has a Dec. 1 court date.
