LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears star Devin Hester should be OK after leaving Sunday's win over Minnesota with a chest injury.
Head coach Lovie Smith said Monday the injury "shouldn't be serious" and that it belongs more on the "bumps and bruises" list.
Hester again showed his value to a team that's trying to dig itself out of a big early hole in the NFC North, leading the Bears to a convincing 39-10 victory over the Vikings on Sunday. He helped set the tone with a 48-yard touchdown pass from Jay Cutler on Chicago's first possession and added a career-long 98-yard kickoff return early in the third before leaving the game.
