The Patriots' offensive, defensive and special-teams players of the game from their Week Six win over the Cowboys.

Offense: QB Tom Brady

For 57 minutes, Brady was completely stymied by Rob Ryan's defense. He had thrown two interceptions and had been sacked three times. But when the Patriots got the ball back with 2:31 to go, Brady marched downfield. On the drive that led to his game-winning touchdown pass to Aaron Hernandez, Brady completed 8-of-9 passes for 78 yards. It included some passes to Wes Welker in which Brady threaded the needle and smart throws to Danny Woodhead when pressure was coming from Dallas. Brady showed how difficult it is to completely shut down New England's offense.

Defense: ILB Brandon Spikes

The entire defensive effort was impressive. The Pats were missing three members of the secondary and ILB Jerod Mayo, yet they held the Cowboys to 16 points. Spikes was all over the place on defense, helping keep Dallas to a 3.2-yard rushing average (77 yards on 24 carries). He had a QB hit and a clutch tackle for loss on a shovel pass from Tony Romo to Tashard Choice inside the 10-yard line that forced Dallas to settle for a field goal. DE Andre Carter gets honorable mention after racking up two sacks.

Special teams: PK Stephen Gostkowski

Gostkowski nailed his two field-goal attempts, one from 31 yards and another from 26 yards. Three of his five kickoffs resulted in touchbacks, including the final kickoff after the Patriots took the lead. The Cowboys' average drive start off kickoff was their own 18-yard line. P Zoltan Mesko had another strong game with a net average of 46.5 yards.
