Saints S Roman Harper was fined $15,000 for his late hit on Panthers WR Steve Smith on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Harper hit Smith in the endzone after the receiver had scored a touchdown for Carolina. The hit led to a scuffle between the two teams in which Saints S Malcolm Jenkins got into it with Smith.

After the game, Harper did not apologize, saying, "If you're going to score, go score, but a guy is not going to try and just walk it in on us like that."

The Saints won the game between NFC South rivals, 30-27.
