Here are some noteworthy quotes from members of the Vikings leading up to Sunday's game with the Bears.
Leslie Frazier on what Sunday's first win means:
"It's significant for our team and where we are. It was an important game. In order for us to achieve what we set out to achieve before the season began, we needed to get that win yesterday and we need to keep it going. We need to build on it to get the chance to accomplish what we want to accomplish. It was big for our team, big for our players. They worked every single week to prepare as hard as they can. It's just good to see them rewarded. They come out to play every single week and we've fallen short, so I'm just really happy for them."
Donovan McNabb on the questions about his throwing mechanics causing inaccuracy:
"This whole mechanics thing is getting out of hand. Somebody says something about mechanics -- everybody works on your mechanics, no matter what position you play. You watch the film and you try to work on different techniques. This whole mechanics thing is really something that I haven't changed or anything of that nature."
Frazier on how much of a difference it makes for the Bears defense whether DE Julius Peppers (strained MCL) plays or not:
"He's a very good football player. Had a major impact on their season a year ago in a positive way and I don't know what his status will actually be on Sunday but his absence you would think would have not a positive effect. He's one of those guys you have to account for every single play on defense if you're an offensive player."
Frazier on how the Vikings will be preparing for Peppers and if they feel better about the matchup there if he doesn't play:
"I think you have to plan as if he is going to play until you find out for sure that he's out. You don't want to be surprised if he is lining up on Sunday and not have a plan for him. He can change games. He's done it so you have to plan as if he is going to be there until you hear otherwise."
