Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week Five, the team announced Tuesday. It's the fifth time in his career he's been NFC Player of the Week.
Peterson ran 29 times for 122 yards and three first-quarter touchdowns Sunday against the Cardinals. His effort propelled the Vikings to their first win of the season, a 34-10 blowout of Arizona. He's tied for the NFL lead in rushing touchdowns with six.
