Browns DE Marcus Benard was hospitalized Monday after crashing his motorcycle into a highway wall in Cleveland. The Browns said Benard broke his hand and is "alert, stable and resting comfortably," according to Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram.

Bernard's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told NFL Network's Jason La Canfora that Benard will make a full recovery.

The accident occurred after the Browns' Monday practice at 2 p.m. ET. According to multiple media outlets, Benard crashed into a wall on I-71 North close to West 65th Street.

Per The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, a spokeswoman for MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland had no information on Benard's condition. A Browns spokesman said Benard has spoken with Browns trainer Joe Sheehan, according to The Plain Dealer, which also reported that Brooklyn, Ohio, police were handling the accident investigation.

Benard, 26, notched a team-high 7½ sacks in 2010 for Cleveland. He has appeared in four games in 2011 as a reserve end, recording four tackles and a half a sack.
