Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes will be out for a few weeks because of a broken foot. The team stated that the injury will not be season-ending.
The injury took place during the team's Week Five matchup with the Vikings. Rhodes was replaced in the lineup by third-year DB Rashad Johnson.
Rhodes has not missed a regular-season game in his career, playing in 101 consecutive games. Through five games this season, he had 24 tackles and a pair of sacks.
The way we see it
This is a significant injury for a Cardinals secondary that has already been banged up this season. Rhodes is one of the team's top defenders, so losing him for any stretch of time will be a concern. Arizona thankfully has a bye this coming weekend, so they'll have time to re-arrange their secondary and figure out how to best fill in for Rhodes.
