The "jettisoned Eagles QB bowl" pits former Philadelphia teammates Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb, two quarterbacks who have yet to live up to their billings outside of Andy Reid's nest.

Kolb has struggled with his decision making and pocket presence, while McNabb has struggled with accuracy and the second half. Both have had difficulties holding on to second-half leads, with each one blowing three leads in four games.

It hasn't been a pretty season for either team.

The team that can make the most explosive plays will win this game. Both defenses will be keying on the running game and doing everything in their power to force the quarterbacks to win this game. Given that both teams have had difficulties sustaining drives, taking big chunks of yardage out of the field and limiting the exposure to third downs is a formula for victory.

The Vikings' defensive line will have a stronger game than it had last week, and it will harass Kolb and force him to be uncomfortable in the pocket throughout the day. McNabb should be able to exploit the linebackers of the Cardinals in coverage and utilize his two tight ends, Visanthe Shiancoe and Kyle Rudolph, in the passing game. It will be tough for the Vikings to cover WR Larry Fitzgerald, especially with CB Antoine Winfield doubtful, but they are likely to play with desperation, and that sense of urgency should get them their first win.

Prediction: Vikings 23, Cardinals 17
