Here are some noteworthy quotes from members of the Vikings leading up to Sunday's game with the Cardinals.

Donovan McNabb on the current state of the Vikings

"It just so happens that we're in a situation right now, in the first quarter of the season, where we are winless. What's important is how you pull yourself out of it, you know, overcome this adversity. I think we have the talent and the players to do that. But we've got to put it out on the field and the only way we'll be able to accomplish anything is by getting the first win. So it's very important that we have a great week at practice, not to say that we haven't had great weeks of practice, but we have to put it all together on Sunday."

Head coach Leslie Frazier on rookie QB Christian Ponder's progress

"He is really coming along well. He is working hard in practice and doing the same thing in the meetings. We feel like he is progressing well and we are optimistic that when his time comes he will be ready to go."

Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave on Arizona's cornerbacks

"We definitely have a plan to throw on those guys. We want to get some balls airborne in their direction, both their guys are young and talented, but we feel confident with our receivers matching up with them."
