Rams WR Danny Amendola will have surgery on his dislocated left elbow, putting an end to his 2011 season.

Amendola suffered the injury in Week One and the team was hopeful he could return after this week's bye, but he had a setback in his attempt to come back.

Amendola led the team last season with 85 catches for 689 yards and three touchdowns. He had five catches for 45 yards in the season opener before the injury.

The way we see it

The Rams' offense was already lacking at wide receiver before the season, and now they will be without one of Sam Bradford's favorite targets the rest of the season. Mike Sims-Walker and Danario Alexander will have to step up to help an offense that has been sputtering.
