The Dolphins found their veteran backup, bringing a familiar face back to Miami.
QB Sage Rosenfels agreed to terms with the Dolphins on Thursday, his agent Rick Smith confirmed on Twitter. Rosenfels was with the Dolphins from 2002-2005. Last season, he was a member of the Giants.
Rosenfels will back up Matt Moore, who takes over as the starter due to season-ending shoulder surgery for Chad Henne.
Rosenfels has started 12 games in his career and thrown 30 touchdowns and 29 picks.
