The Bills drafted DE Marcell Dareus third overall to be an immediate contributor, especially against the run, and he hasn't disappointed. The defense, as a whole, is still giving up a lot of yards, but the D-line has been the best unit with Dareus and Pro Bowler Kyle Williams clogging up the middle of the line. Dareus' penetration allowed him to get his helmet just enough in Tom Brady's passing lane in Week Three to deflect a pass into CB Drayton Florence's hands for a pick-six, and the rookie picked up his first sack in Week Four. "Dareus has played very, very well and it looks like teams are running away from him," one daily team observer said. On the Bengals' final run play that set up a field goal, they got the yards needed by running away from Dareus. Another D-lineman who we hear has stepped up his game and is benefiting from Dareus' presence is veteran Dwan Edwards, who has 18 tackles and two tackles for loss.
