According to multiple reports, the Lions signed veteran S Vincent Fuller on Wednesday.

Starting SS Amari Spievey is hobbled by an injured hamstring and backup Erik Coleman is likely to be sidelined with an ankle injury. With the status of both players uncertain for Monday night's game against the Bears, the team went out and signed a player who is familiar with head coach Jim Schwartz's defense.

Fuller, who spent his first six seasons with the Titans, played mostly as a nickel defender and on special teams. He played 75 games with the Titans, where Schwartz was the defensive coordinator prior to becoming the Lions' head coach, with five starts, and has six career interceptions.

He was cut by the Titans in the final cutdown prior to this season.
